Prerequisites

ToBeAlert runs on containers so you will need to install Docker before starting with ToBeAlert.

  • 64 Bit system
  • At least 4 GB of RAM
  • On Kubernetes, each node that runs ToBeAlert needs at least 2.5 GB of RAM (see Kubernetes)
  • A modern web browser
  • Docker and Docker compose
  • A PostgreSQL DB to store all alerts and user data (can be deployed on Docker alongside ToBeAlert). If you run your own PostgreSQL server, size it like any production database (shared_buffers, effective_cache_size, work_mem, autovacuum on) — once ToBeAlert is up, Management → Diagnostics checks these settings and times the real queries for you.
